Break-Ins Reported At Two Used Car Lots – jocoreport.com

Authorities are investigating two used car lot break-ins in Johnston County.

On August 25, an employee at Perfect Ride Inc. at 732 N. Brightleaf Boulevard in Smithfield arrived at work and discovered forced entry had been made into a door at the business. The suspect stole a used vehicle parked at the dealership. The car was later found abandoned by the State Highway Patrol. Smithfield Police are investigating.

On August 27th, the owner of Next Car Imports at 13552 US Highway 70 Business West, Clayton reported the business had been forcibly entered and keys to 8 vehicles had been stolen. A Subaru on the dealership lot was also missing. At last report the stolen Subaru had not been located. The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
